She Worked as women’ s crisis counsellor and interpreter at SOS Femmes-Women’s Crisis line, then Intake Settlement counsellor at COSTI IMMIGRANTS SERVICES, then a school settlement worker at Thorncliffe Neighbourhood Office and initiated school based parents and community programs and parents support services to foster parents involvement in their children’s education and break down isolation as a result of linguistic barrier.

Ephraim obtained is B.Phil. from the University of Hull in the UK and his M.Ed. and PhD in educational administration and policy, and comparative education respectively from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
Ephraim worked for several years as an assistant professor and head of department of educational administration at the Eritrea Institute of Technology in Eritrea.
Prior to joining the Institute he was working as a researcher at the Ministry of Education, department of research and human resources development.
